Innovate & Code Workshop

From Logic to Launch—A Complete CS Journey

The Blueprint for Future Creators

The IC Workshop isn't just a coding class; it's a comprehensive computer science pathway. We guide students from their very first block of logic all the way to deploying real-world applications. Tailored for Grades 1–10.

The Vision

In a world run by algorithms, understanding the code behind them is a superpower. The IC Workshop breaks down complex computer science concepts into digestible, age-appropriate modules. We don't just teach syntax; we teach Computational Thinking—the ability to break down problems and solve them logically.

The Curriculum Structure

Our workshop is divided into three distinct squads to ensure maximum engagement:

The Digital Explorers

Grades 1-5

Where imagination meets logic.

The Goal: To introduce the concept that computers are tools for creation, not just consumption.

What They Learn:

  • Digital Literacy: navigating the digital world safely.
  • Pattern Recognition: The basics of algorithmic thinking.
  • Block-Based Coding: Using tools like Scratch to animate stories and games.

Outcome: Students build their first interactive story or mini-game.

The Logic Builders

Grades 6-8

Transitioning from blocks to structure.

The Goal: To bridge the gap between visual coding and syntax-based logic.

What They Learn:

  • Internet Safety & Ethics: Understanding their digital footprint.
  • Algorithm Design: Flowcharts, loops, and conditionals.
  • Intro to Web: How the internet works and basic HTML structure.

Outcome: Students create a personal portfolio page and solve complex logic puzzles.

The Future Developers

Grades 9-10

Writing real code for the real world.

The Goal: To provide industry-relevant skills that prepare them for higher education or internships.

What They Learn:

  • Frontend Development: HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript basics.
  • Problem Solving: Debugging code and optimizing logic.
  • Project Management: Planning, building, and deploying a web project.

Outcome: A fully deployed, responsive website hosted live on the internet.

Student Impact

  • Critical Thinking: Learning to approach problems systematically.
  • Creativity: Moving from "using apps" to "building apps."
  • Confidence: The satisfaction of seeing code come to life.

Hack Mandala

Code Your Masterpiece

Where Technology Meets Artistry

Nepal's premier student hackathon. 24 hours. Limitless coffee. One goal: To weave code into solutions that matter.

The Concept: Why "Mandala"?

A Mandala represents the universe—a complex structure built from many small, intricate parts working in harmony. A great software project is no different. Hack Mandala is a celebration of this complexity. We bring together designers, coders, and thinkers to build digital ecosystems that solve local problems.

The Experience

This isn't just a competition; it's a festival of creation (a "Code Utsav").

  • The Sprint: Teams have 24 hours to go from a blank screen to a working prototype.
  • The Environment: High energy, music, food, and mentors roaming the floor to unblock your code.
  • The Tracks: We don't build useless things. Our tracks focus on:
    • Education Tech
    • Tourism & Culture
    • Civic Solutions

Who Should Join?

You don't need to be a pro.

  • The Hacker: You speak Python, JS, or C++.
  • The Designer: You make things look beautiful (UI/UX).
  • The Visionary: You have the big ideas and the pitch skills.

What You Win

Beyond the cash prizes and swag:

  • Mentorship: Direct access to senior developers from top tech companies in Nepal.
  • Networking: Meet your future co-founders.
  • The "Built" Portfolio: Walk away with a tangible project on your GitHub.

The Tech Agenda

Code is Policy

A Forum for the Digital Age

Moving beyond the syntax. The Tech Agenda is a MUN-style debate platform where we tackle the ethics, policies, and societal impacts of the technology we build.

The Mission

We are raising a generation of coders, but who is raising the generation of tech policy-makers? The Tech Agenda exists to ensure that the youth have a voice in how technology shapes Nepal and the world. It's not about how to code—it's about what we should code, and why.

Format: The Assembly

Unlike standard webinars, this is an interactive, parliamentary-style forum.

  • The Debate: Participants are assigned positions on controversial topics (e.g., "Should AI Art be Copyrighted?", "Data Privacy vs. National Security").
  • The Resolution: Teams work together to draft "policies" or "manifestos" proposing solutions to these issues.
  • The Experts: We invite industry leaders, lawyers, and ethical hackers to moderate and provide testimony.

Upcoming Topics

  • AI & Employment: Will automation help or hurt the Nepalese job market?
  • The Algorithmic Bias: How code can accidentally discriminate.
  • The Digital Divide: Bridging the gap between urban Kathmandu and rural Nepal.

Why Participate?

  • Public Speaking: Articulate complex technical ideas clearly.
  • Critical Thinking: See both sides of a technological argument.
  • Leadership: Prepare for roles in tech management and policy.

HerDomain

Technology is Her Territory

Claim Your Space in the Digital World

We are closing the gender gap in STEM, not just by teaching girls to code, but by empowering them to lead. Welcome to HerDomain.

The Reality & The Goal

The tech industry has arguably been a "boys' club" for too long. HerDomain is here to change the statistic. We believe that when women build technology, the technology becomes more inclusive, empathetic, and effective. This is a dedicated space for young women to learn without intimidation.

Program Pillars

1. Skill Acquisition

The Code

We run exclusive cohorts for girls where the learning pace is personalized and the environment is collaborative, not competitive.

Workshops on: Web Dev, Python, and UI/UX Design.

2. Mentorship

The Guidance

"You can't be what you can't see." We pair our students with successful Nepali women in tech—Software Engineers, Data Scientists, and Founders—who provide career guidance and support.

3. Leadership

The Voice

It's not enough to be a coder; we want you to be a CTO. We include sessions on:

  • Negotiation & Communication
  • Imposter Syndrome workshops
  • Project Management

Community Impact

HerDomain is more than a class; it's a sisterhood. Alumni of the program stay connected, helping the next batch of students, sharing job opportunities, and collaborating on projects.
